Come-and-Sing Requiem at All Saints, Clifton • Saturday 20th November
    Hello,

I’m going to be leading a choral workshop at All Saints, Clifton on November 20th; would you kindly pass on details to members of Redland Green Community Choir?

We’ll be working on my own composition Requiem - a beautifully melodic and deeply moving piece. (Huw knows the piece, and I’m sure would give it a glowing thumbs up!).

There’s an email flyer below; please do spread the word, as it promises to be a most enjoyable and inspiring day of singing.

Matthew Coleridge - composer & conductor

Come-and-Sing Requiem at All Saints, Clifton • Saturday 20th November

Join composer Matthew Coleridge for a day of glorious choral singing, as we learn and perform his beautiful choral work Requiem in one of Bristol’s most iconic churches.

This powerful and deeply moving choral work is a joy to sing, with beautifully crafted melodies and shimmering textures.

You’ll spend the day working with the composer as he guides us through his music, hearing insights about the creative process, before taking part in an evening concert performance accompanied by Gloucester Cathedral organist Jonathan Hope.

This will be a socially-distanced event with limited places available. Book now at www.matthewcoleridge.com/bristol

  • Tortoise Concert St Stephen’s Church Bristol 17th July 2021

A few of us went to see our new director Huw giving the first of a series of tortoise concerts at St Stephen’s last Saturday.

Huw played contemporary pieces of a slow persuasion, including one of his own and the more familiar Mad Rush by Philip Glass. We can vouch for the fact that he is certainly a master of the keyboard! A few notes of a renaissance flute made their appearance as well.

This concert was a sit-down one, but future ones will be more casual when you can come in and wander about as you please, or sit and have a coffee. There is a café attached. Nice and cool on a hot morning and cool music too.

The next concert is on Saturday 11th September at 11am.

Due to the corona virus outbreak, the choir's rehearsals are suspended. We hope all our supporters and members stay safe, and we look forward to singing together again.

But we do have a full programme of on-line rehearsals, singing lessons, and quizzes.
