Musical Director

We appointed Huw Morgan as our musical director in July 2021 . He has since led us in the Durante Magnificat, the Duruflé and Fauré Requiems, Dvorak's Mass in D as well as a wide choice of smaller works from Thomas Tallis through Handel and Purcell to Eric Whitacre and beyond.

Huw Morgan is a freelance conductor, organist, composer and teacher living in Bristol. He currently also directs the Clifton Singers, Weston Choral Society, and Nova, and performs a programme of the “mainly slow organ music”  at St Stephen’s and All Saints churches in Bristol. His compositions are published by Firehead Editions, and he is a founder member of “Automatronic”, a collective that seeks to promote and perform new works for organ and electronics. Away from music, Huw enjoys photography, rugby and above all spending time with his two young daughters.
