Singing with a large choir is one thing. But some of us like to sing in smaller groups and so far we have formed two more select groups.
The Redland Green Chamber Choir meets from 6.45pm to 7.15pm on Monday nights in the hall of Claremont School, adjacent to Redland Green School. Listen to us here.
It was initiated by our Musical Director Nicholas Bromilow in 2014 and concentrates on a cappella pieces, which have a regular slot in our concerts.
For the summer concert 2016, it sang 'Lord for Thy Tender Mercy's Sake' by Richard Farrant, 'Quick, We Have But a Second' by Charles Villiers Stanford (words by Thomas Moore) and 'Life on Mars' by David Bowie.
At present it consists of a round dozen of members, but there is always room for newcomers.
Barrett's Allsorts is an a cappella quartet formed in 2012 under the initiative of choir member and bass Geoff Barrett. It comprises Serena Jones, Gill O'Rourke and Steve Hull as well as Geoff himself. Barrett's Allsorts are self-organising and have created their own spot in every RGC concert since their formation.
